Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a typical day look like for a resident at Stonehaven?

Each day follows a gentle rhythm: morning personal care and breakfast, followed by activities or rest periods during the morning. Lunch is served communally, with an afternoon that includes social time, games, or quiet reading. Dinner and evening wind-down bring the day to a close. Staff are always nearby if assistance is needed, and residents are free to adjust the routine to their own pace.

Can family members visit at any time?

We welcome family visits during our visiting hours, which run daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If you need to arrange a visit outside these hours, please speak with our resident coordinator and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How does the Assessment & Orientation Stay work?

The assessment stay runs for one to two weeks. Your family member participates in the full daily programme — meals, activities, and care support — while our team observes their needs, preferences, and comfort level. Afterwards, we provide a written assessment report with honest recommendations. There is no obligation to proceed beyond the stay.

What are the costs, and what do they cover?

Structured Residential Care is SGD 2,400 per month, covering accommodation, meals, nursing care, daily activities, and a dedicated coordinator. The Assessment Stay is SGD 750 per week. The Puzzle & Games Programme is SGD 370 per month for four mornings a week, including morning tea. Costs are transparent, and we are happy to walk you through what is included.

Is Stonehaven suitable for seniors with mobility challenges?

Yes. Our premises feature wide corridors, handrails, clear visual signage, and accessible bathrooms. Staff are trained to provide mobility assistance, and all common areas are designed for wheelchair access. During the orientation stay, we assess mobility needs and tailor support accordingly.

How do you handle medical and personal care needs?

Registered nurses are present throughout the day and night to manage medication, monitor health, and respond to any medical needs. Personal care — bathing, dressing, grooming — is handled with patience and respect for each resident's dignity. If specialised medical attention is required, we coordinate with external healthcare providers.

How do I begin the enquiry process?

You can reach us by phone at +65 6823 4917, send a message through the contact form on this page, or email us at [email protected]. We will arrange a time to speak, answer your questions, and if you are interested, schedule a visit to our home on Upper Thomson Road.
