About Stonehaven

Built on Respect, Guided by Care

We set out to create a place where seniors feel seen, heard, and genuinely comfortable β€” every single day.

Our Story

Stonehaven began in 2011 as a small residential care home on Upper Thomson Road, founded by a group of healthcare professionals who had spent years working in Singapore's eldercare sector. What they saw β€” and what troubled them β€” was a gap between the care seniors needed and the care they were actually receiving. Too many homes operated on rigid schedules with little room for individuality. Too many families felt kept at a distance.

The founding team believed things could be different. They envisioned a home where daily routines offered structure without rigidity, where staff knew each resident by name and by preference, and where families were treated as partners rather than visitors. That vision became Stonehaven.

Over the years, the home has grown carefully β€” adding new programmes like the Assessment Stay and the Puzzle & Games Social Programme β€” but the core philosophy has not changed. We still believe that good care starts with listening, that dignity is not a luxury, and that every senior deserves a living environment that respects who they are and who they have been.

Today, Stonehaven serves as a home for residents in full-time care, a short-stay resource for families exploring their options, and a social hub for seniors who want to stay mentally active and socially connected. We remain a single-location home. We have chosen not to expand into a chain because we believe that staying small allows us to maintain the personal attention that makes a real difference.

What Guides Us

Our daily work is shaped by a small number of principles that we hold closely and measure ourselves against.

Dignity First

Every interaction, from morning care to mealtime conversation, is grounded in respect for each person's autonomy and life experience.

Family as Partners

We keep communication open and honest, because families deserve to know how their loved ones are doing β€” not just when something goes wrong.

Structure With Flexibility

Routines give the day a dependable shape, but we always leave room for individual preferences, rest, and personal time.

Continuous Improvement

We regularly review our processes, gather feedback from families and staff, and look for ways to do better β€” not because we must, but because we should.

Holistic Well-Being

Physical health, cognitive engagement, emotional comfort, and social connection all matter. We attend to the whole person, not just clinical needs.

Trust and Transparency

Our pricing is straightforward, our care plans are shared openly, and we encourage families to ask questions at any time.

Elderly Care That Puts People First

At Stonehaven, we understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make. It involves trust, emotion, and a great deal of thought. That is why we approach every enquiry with patience and openness β€” we want families to feel confident in their choice, whatever that choice turns out to be.

Our residential care programme provides a complete daily living experience for seniors who benefit from consistent routines and around-the-clock support. Nursing professionals manage all medical and personal care, while our activity coordinators ensure that each day includes moments of engagement, connection, and quiet enjoyment.

For families who are still deciding, our Assessment & Orientation Stay offers a practical way to experience life at Stonehaven before making a longer commitment. During the one- to two-week period, we observe and document the resident's needs and comfort level, and we share our findings in a detailed written report.

Our Puzzle & Games Social Programme offers a different kind of value β€” a regular gathering space for seniors who want to keep their minds sharp and their social lives active. Whether it is a round of mahjong, a collaborative jigsaw puzzle, or a friendly card game, the programme creates a relaxed setting where friendships form naturally.

Stonehaven is located at 14 Upper Thomson Road, Singapore 574408. We welcome visits from families who would like to see the home in person and speak with our team.
